INTERNATIONAL LIGHTING DESIGN COMPETITION

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the L A M P community for your continued support. After more than a decade of independently running the competition as a true labor of love, we were grateful for the pause in 2025, which allowed our founder the time and space to recuperate from a year of challenging health hurdles. We’re deeply appreciative of the patience, care, and encouragement shown by our designers, partners, and supporters around the world, and we’re excited to carry that energy forward as we prepare to launch the 2026 L A M P competition in July! We look forward to welcoming you back for the next chapter…


2026 Important Dates:

  • JULY 1st - Submissions Open

  • OCTOBER 1st - Submission Deadline

  • NOVEMBER 5th - People’s Choice Online Vote is Live

  • DECEMBER 10th - Winners Announced


L A M P is a small, independent organization dedicated to championing emerging talent and connecting designers to new markets in lighting design. Every submission fee and sponsorship goes directly into running the competition. For a fraction of the cost of a trade-show booth, which can run into the thousands, L A M P puts your work in front of the audiences, press, and industry players who matter. Being named a finalist is more than a credential; it's a launchpad. As a finalist, you'll receive:

    • Prestige and prize money, public recognition as a L A M P finalist, plus cash awards for standout designs.

    • A dedicated feature on the L A M P website for a full year following the finalist announcement, and inclusion on our website for perpetuity.

    • Promotion of your design across our newsletters and social media channels.

    • The opportunity to be spotlighted by any of our Media Partners across their various media channels.
