Anna Granath is the Range & Product Design Manager at IKEA of Sweden for Lighting and Children’s IKEA. She has been with IKEA for the past decade and has dedicated her time developing products for the bathroom, kitchen, and lighting range. She spearheaded Red Dot Award winning projects such as the KUNGSBACKA kitchen front, which was praised for its innovative sustainable design, made entirely from waste material.

Being rooted in the Nordics, Anna understands the importance of light and its function need to serve many purposes in the home. For Anna, lighting has to be multi-faceted and dimensional and serve more purposes than its functional use within the home.

Most recently during the 2022 Milan Design Week, Anna, together with designer Sabine Marcelis, revealed two unique lamps from the VARMBLIXT collection. A collaboration which explores the potential of light at home and its positive impact on wellbeing. The lamps were a must see within the IKEA Festival at the 2022 Milan Design Week and have been credited in top-tier media outlets including Wallpaper, Vouge Living, Designboom amongst more.

Prior to IKEA, Anna worked as an Industrial Designer at a design consultancy in Copenhagen, Denmark. She possesses a Master’s Degree in Industrial Design from Lund University in Sweden.
