Lupo

by Recozy, Moritz Putzier

Category: MANUFACTURED

CONCEPT STATEMENT:

The Lupo lamp is manufactured in 3D printing from predominantly recycled materials made of post-consumer waste. It combines functionality with aesthetic design: Lupo's double-sided lampshade in combination with the slim, upright design allows it to be used both as a desk lamp and as a reading lamp. The dimmable LED lamp casts a pleasant cone of light for working and at the same time creates a cozy, indirect lighting for relaxing due to the diffuser directed to the back.

PROJECT SPECS:

The design object is made of mostly recycled materials using additive manufacturing. The recycled materials consist of European food packaging and composites based on biological and recycled plastics. All plastics used can be recycled and reprocessed for reuse.

3D printing enables resource-saving and energy-efficient manufacturing. Moreover, production is exclusively made to order.

This prevents unnecessary emissions, energy or large storage areas.

For shipping, we cooperate with a local workshop for people with disabilities.

Arpeggio, light and music

by Yume Studio

Category: PROFESSIONAL

CONCEPT STATEMENT:

“I still remember how my first music class started”

Inspiration for the design came from music notes. As a table lamp, Arpeggio is the perfect combination of simple shapes and curved geometries. We combine tradition and vanguard, design and craftsmanship.

Defined by a circular frosted glass that merges with a ceramic arc, Arpeggio is a portable beacon of light. As a result of the frosted glass, the light is diffused, giving off a cozy atmosphere, while the ceramic body gives off a neutral reflection.

PROJECT SPECS:

General dimensions: 233x125x53 mm (Height x Width x Deep)

Glass Blowing technique is used for the diffuser. Matte frosted glass softens the light and conceals the bulb. Ceramic casting is used to make the body, and matte glaze is applied to the finish, giving it a light cream to brown hue. Due to the organic nature of the glaze process, each piece is unique. Bulb characteristics: Dimmable G4 ; 3500K ; 230 lumen

SOL

by Fabian Malmhagen

Category: STUDENT

CONCEPT STATEMENT:

Sol is a lamp designed to prevent Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

SAD is a disease that threatens 8% of the population in Sweden and is a problem without a scientifically proven reason but with a solution.

Of many different treatments, such as medication and psychotherapy, light treatment is the most readily available tool that people suffering from SAD can use to treat themselves. The current market for SAD lamps is sterile and repetitive. Through a personally challenging exploration of form, material, and production, Sol was conceived. Sol is a lamp designed to be something users want to showcase rather than a piece of medical equipment hidden after its use. Sol is a wake-up lamp that gives its user more energy during the dark winter season.

PROJECT SPECS:

Dimensions (Length x Width x Height in mm): 325 x 115 x 247.5.

Material Specs: Sand casted Aluminium body, Hardened Glass housing, 3D Printed PLA joint, and electrical wiring.

Sol was manufactured locally in southern Sweden
