CONCEPT STATEMENT:

modi is a multifunctional floor lamp, that is able to create both adirect light beam and a pleasant, diffuse glow. To switch between the two modes, the user just has to fold the lamp body up or down. While being in the down-position, the whole lamp body glows. When being folded out, the direct light is activated. This allows the lamp, to be used in a variety of different scenarios, either alone or in a group of people. Modi is also very light weight and can be carried around at home easily.

CONCEPT STATEMENT:

Cáustica is a family of wall light fixtures inspired by intricate patterns and colours from our surroundings. Designed to generate calm and kinetic lighting effects, it playfully explores the enchanting interaction of vibrant colours through refracted caustics and continuous movement of the light source, which at a particular angle helps explore the depth of a glass piece and brings out the hidden qualities. Cáustica blends form and function to explore the fine line between technical and decorative lighting. Each fixture follows a distinct structural profile and is carefully designed to complement the coloured handblown or cut crystal glass piece. It opens up the possibility of creating a widely projected effect that is mesmerising to the viewer. It requires a custom-made fitting for the light source to induce movement without intertwining the internal connections. It is intended to be installed individually or in clusters in residential, commercial or architectural projects.

CONCEPT STATEMENT:

Astral is an indoor and outdoor portable lamp with wireless charging. Because of the darkness, we can capture the reflection light from the leaves and lakes at night. I enjoy this soft and quiet light in the evening that the light seemed like glowing from the darkness. I wish Astral can create a serene light environment which can help people appreciate the beauty of both light and shadow at night. There are two LED ring lights inside it. One shoots down to light up the desk or floor and the other one shoots up and makes the top part interacting with people emotionally like a candle.

PROJECT SPECS:

The Astral is 7 inches high and 5 inches wide. There are two led ring lights inside it. One shoots down to light up the desk or floor. The light passes through the dyed black Polycarbonate mysteriously, which seems coming from nowhere. The other one shoots up and makes the top High-density Polyethylene lampshade glowing. It interacts with people emotionally, like candlelight.
